You could ask her if she prefers English or Western saddles. Does she like to jump her horses. Does she “Show” them. If she rides with an English saddle you could ask her if she ever went on a fox hunt. There are no real foxes to catch it is only a kind of follow the leader on horses. It’s a lot of fun running and jumping the horses along a trail in the woods. If she “Shows” horses, ask her to tell you about that. There are different kinds of shows for horses. If she uses a Western saddle, that is more of a working saddle than a showing or ridding saddle. As a matter of fact, people who ride with an English saddle look down on people who ride Western. With an English saddle you have to do more to ride. With Western it’s pretty much just sit there. You should find out if there is a way you could join her for a ride one day. Just make sure that you let her know that you are not experienced as a rider yet but would love to learn. I hope this helps. Good luck. Peace.
