Where can I find books that are not the disney versions of Cinderella and Pocahontas?

Or any of the other stories, I heard they are curl but disney just turned it into disney fairy tales. I wanna read something new. Like supposedly Cinderella’s step-sisters chop off their heals, or toes or something to fit the shoe. Thanks.

   You are thinking of the original version of Cinderella which would be one of Grimm’s fairy tales. I would try a collection of Grimm’s stories and you will find some very interesting differences than Disney versions! However, as Pocahontas was a real person I would read a biography if you care to know what her life was really like. A short one is here or check out your library or book store for a book about her. Hope that helps!

   Books about Cinderella will be in the folklore section. Books about Pocahontas will be in the history section.

   Here is a list of Disney’s Source Material (from which they adapted their movies) Keep in mind some of the stuff is hard to find.
